New 3DS Technology—Stacking the Deck for Better DRAM Module Performance

Micron is collaborating with JEDEC partners on a new DRAM technology—three-dimensional stacking (3DS). Dr. Aftab Farooqi, Senior Manager of Business Development in Micron's DRAM Solutions Group, demonstrates how devices with the specially designed 3DS die interface can offer next-generation modules a giant leap in density, performance, and bandwidth, while reducing power usage and latency compared to non-3DS designs.

High-Performance, Very Low-Profile Modules
