a long way and achieved much since our incorporation in 1991. Listed
below are some of our major milestones and achievements.
TECH Semiconductor Singapore Pte Ltd was incorporated,
as joint venture of 4 partners - Texas Instruments
(TI), Singapore's Economic Development Board (EDB),
Canon and HP Singapore.
Ground-breaking at our Woodlands site.
1992
Commencement of construction of our first fab
(Fab 1).
1993
Achieved 1st million incident free man-hours.
1st 200mm wafer start using TI technology.
Started 4-megabit DRAM chips on 200mm wafers using
0.5µm technology.
1995
Achieved ISO 9002 Certification for DRAM wafer
fabrication process.
Commencement of the construction of our second
fab (Fab 2).
Started 16-megabit DRAM chips on 200mm wafers
using 0.5µm technology.
1996
1st wafer start in Fab 2.
1997
Started 16-megabit DRAM chips on 200mm wafers
using 0.4µm technology.
1991 - the beginning
